Job Summary
To support K-12 students with learning differences, the part-time Michigan Licensed Special Education Teacher will provide virtual instruction, develop individualized lesson plans, and manage IEP compliance while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver legally compliant specially designed instruction (SDI) and compensatory education services to students with IEPs
- Develop and implement data-driven lesson plans targeting critical skill areas such as reading, math, and executive functioning
- Manage the creation and ongoing progress monitoring of student IEPs and collaborate with the IEP team to tailor instructional approaches
Required qualifications
- Active Michigan Special Education teaching license or certification
- Experience in providing specially designed instruction in school-based settings
- Strong collaborative communication skills for engaging with IEP teams
- Proficiency in conducting virtual services and using instructional technology
- Ability to commit to at least 10 hours of availability per week
