Job Summary
A company is looking for an Underwriter responsible for managing a portfolio of Property and Casualty insurance accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrites new and renewal property and casualty business, analyzing policy forms and broker requests according to underwriting standards
- Evaluates risks to determine acceptance, modification, or decline of coverage and sets appropriate terms and premiums
- Maintains broker relationships and collaborates across teams to ensure timely and quality service for clients
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Property and Casualty Underwriting
- Must meet minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation is a plus
