Job Summary

Michigan Licensed Underwriting Counsel, responsible for managing large volumes of files and providing underwriting support in a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle large volumes of files and time-sensitive materials related to transaction matters
• Utilize underwriting standards to underwrite title insurance and provide guidance on real estate settlement services
• Issue underwriting standards and provide counsel to personnel, agents, and clients regarding title insurance commitments and policies

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor; active and current member of a State Bar
• 10+ years of experience as Commercial Underwriting Counsel
• Knowledge of the title insurance industry, including its products, policies, and endorsements
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex legal documents
• Knowledge of commercial insurance coverage and real estate terminology
