Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Michigan Regulation Officer to conduct routine inspections of licensed businesses for compliance with various marijuana-related regulations, prepare detailed reports, and provide consultation to businesses in the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of businesses to ensure compliance with the Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act and related regulations
• Review applicant and licensee information, compliance history, and prepare detailed reports according to established procedures
• Provide consultation and assistance to new and existing licensed businesses regarding regulatory compliance

Required qualifications

• Possession of a bachelor's degree
• Two years of experience providing professional regulation officer services equivalent to a Regulation Officer in state service for the P11 level
• One year of experience equivalent to an intermediate level Regulation Officer for the P11 level
• Experience as a State Police Detective Sergeant or equivalent may substitute for required experience and education
• Active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may substitute for the education requirement
