Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Research Specialist/Michigan State Lead to develop state-based research and monitoring of political violence, build partnerships across various sectors, and produce regular situation reports, all while working remotely within the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Develop state-based research, monitoring, and analysis related to political violence and its broader implications
• Build partnerships with key stakeholders across sectors to enhance monitoring and analysis support
• Engage in state-based coordination tables and provide customized briefings on risks and trends

Required qualifications

• Must reside in Michigan or an adjacent state with significant state-specific knowledge and networks
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
• 5-7+ years of experience in research, policy, or community engagement
• Research experience focused on the U.S. political violence landscape
• Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, identifying trends and gaps
