Micro Focus COBOL Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cobol Developer to design, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications built on COBOL systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, program, implement, maintain, and enhance systems supporting Point-of-Sale and Batch processes using Microfocus Cobol, CICS, Oracle, and JCL
• Develop and unit test software solutions to meet client requirements, providing on-call support as needed
• Investigate and resolve issues promptly to prevent system outages, assisting in the preparation of functional specifications and status reports

Required Qualifications

• 7 years of experience with Microfocus Cobol, CICS, JCL, and Oracle in a Linux environment
• Strong expertise in Microfocus Cobol, Oracle 10g or 11g, CICS, and JCL
• Experience building applications using web services (SOAP/REST) and microservices architecture
• Hands-on exposure to Microfocus Net Express (IDE) and Red Hat Linux OS
• At least 3 years of U.S.-based experience
