Job Summary
Leading the development of validation strategies and methodologies, the full-time remote Microgrid Validation Engineer will create and manage Hardware-in-the-Loop testing environments and automated workflows to ensure microgrid control systems perform safely and reliably before deployment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement testing capabilities for microgrid control algorithms across various operating conditions
- Establish verification methodologies and standards, including automated test execution workflows and performance metrics
- Analyze field data to enhance simulation models and validation processes while mentoring junior engineers
Required qualifications
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 3-7+ years of experience in real-time system HIL validation or power system model verification
- Experience designing and operating laboratory environments for validating electrical power systems
- Proficiency with real-time digital simulators and power system modeling tools
- Strong collaboration skills and a systems-thinking mindset for effective cross-disciplinary teamwork
