Microsoft Purview Engineer
Job Summary
To support client Purview deployments, the contracted Microsoft Purview Engineer will assess Microsoft 365 configurations, design data classification frameworks, and implement DLP policies while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and document gaps in current Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 configurations against client data protection objectives
- Develop and execute a Purview implementation roadmap, including phased deployment plans aligned with client readiness
- Define, configure, and tune DLP policies across Microsoft 365 workloads, ensuring compliance with client handling requirements
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview implementations carried to production
- Expertise in data discovery, classification, and DLP policy design across Microsoft 365
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into effective Purview policy configurations
- Experience in protecting sensitive data in regulated environments
- Current or recent Microsoft 365 administrator or security engineer certification (e.g., MS-500, SC-400)
