Microsoft Security Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting a US-based engagement, the full-time Microsoft Security Engineer will assess and enhance the client's Active Directory and Azure/Entra ID deployments, manage data governance frameworks in Microsoft Purview, and identify operational gaps while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the current state of the client's Active Directory and Azure/Entra ID deployment, including various design aspects and configurations
• Manage the migration of enterprise data governance frameworks to Microsoft Purview, ensuring compliance and secure data management
• Identify and prioritize configuration and operational gaps in the client's AD domains and provide actionable recommendations for remediation

Required qualifications

• Strong experience as an Active Directory Architect with hands-on knowledge of AD design and assessment
• Experience assessing Azure/Entra ID deployments and hybrid identity environments
• Ability to run and interpret PowerShell queries against AD domains
• Familiarity with tools such as ADUC, ManageEngine, and StealthAUDIT
• Proven ability to provide practical recommendations and remediation planning inputs
