Microsoft Sentinel Security Consultant

Job Summary

Working remotely, the Microsoft Sentinel Security Consultant will analyze Microsoft Sentinel telemetry to provide actionable security guidance, support customer security coaching sessions, and collaborate with various teams to enhance clients' security postures.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret Microsoft Sentinel incidents and analytics to identify attack patterns and risk trends
• Guide customers in acting on Sentinel insights and translating technical outputs into business-relevant narratives
• Assess customer security posture and map findings to security frameworks like NIST CSF and CIS Controls

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, including incident review and KQL
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, and Entra ID
• Experience in a consultative or advisory security role
• Ability to communicate security insights clearly to non-technical audiences
• Strong ownership mindset and customer-focused communication skills
