Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Microsoft SQL Server DBA, the ideal candidate will manage and support Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring performance, security, and reliability while collaborating with IT Infrastructure and Development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server environments across production, development, and disaster recovery
- Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot SQL Server instances and associated database services
- Monitor database health, performance, and resource utilization, and perform maintenance tasks such as index optimization and integrity checks
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3-5+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server administration and performance tuning
- Experience with SQL Server backup, restoration, and disaster recovery
- Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting for database administration
