Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer for a full-time remote position, the candidate will modernize a legacy system managing international security cooperation through the use of AI-led development tools and focus on delivering verified capabilities across the software stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Decompose complex business problems into technical specifications for AI implementation
• Develop domain services in TypeScript and Node.js, including case lifecycle and pricing engines
• Lead the extraction and reimplementation of business logic from legacy systems into a modern environment

Required Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a U.S. SECRET clearance
• 3+ years of experience building and operating production web systems
• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex)
• Professional proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and security fundamentals
