Mid-Level Data Scientist

Job Summary

To support a federal data engineering team, the remote Mid-Level Data Scientist will build AI/ML capabilities, develop production-ready analytical products, and ensure data readiness for critical government decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain knowledge bases and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using Amazon Bedrock and Amazon OpenSearch Services
• Support the development and operationalization of statistical outputs and derived data products, coordinating with agency data science teams
• Develop and validate machine learning models and analytical pipelines using large-scale financial and regulatory datasets

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• 3-5 years of experience in data science, machine learning engineering, or quantitative analytics
• Proficiency in Python 3.10, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock and Amazon OpenSearch Services
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow for pipeline orchestration and experience with SQL query tools
