Job Summary
Supporting federal financial evaluations, the full-time Mid-Level Federal Accountant will perform detailed financial analysis, reconciliation, and review of grant expenditures while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Reviewing grant expenditures for compliance with 2 CFR Part 200 and monitoring recipient financial compliance
- Preparing or reviewing Federal Financial Reports (SF-425) and reconciling grant expenditures and drawdowns
- Assisting with audit findings, corrective action plans, and providing technical assistance to grant recipients on financial compliance
Required qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or Green Card required due to federal contract requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, auditing, or cost accounting, with relevant federal experience
- Knowledge of basic Federal cost principles and familiarity with 2 CFR Part 200
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools in a high-volume environment
