Mid-Level MUMPS Developer
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Mid-Level MUMPS Developer will design, develop, and support VistA/MUMPS integrations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and maintainable solutions for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support VistA/MUMPS integrations, routines, globals, and application components
- Analyze existing code and workflows to implement enhancements and maintain compatibility with VistA conventions
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to resolve defects and maintain technical documentation
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in VistA, MUMPS, Cache/IRIS, or related health IT development
- Hands-on experience with MUMPS and VistA conventions, data structures, and production support
- Experience with patch creation and the VistA patch release process
- Familiarity with healthcare application workflows, such as pharmacy and medication management
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government credentials
