Mid-Level Nuclear Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Mid-Level Nuclear Engineer/Health Physicist, the ideal candidate will evaluate environmental impacts and safety of nuclear facilities, including uranium mills and reactors, while collaborating with federal and state agencies.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental assessments and safety evaluations for nuclear facilities
- Utilize radiation codes such as RESRAD, MicroShield, and MILDOS in evaluations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience evaluating uranium mills, in situ uranium recovery facilities, and nuclear reactors
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
- References of previous safety and environmental evaluations performed
- Familiarity with various radiation codes is preferred
