Mid-Level Security Specialist

Job Summary

Mid-Level Security Specialist, responsible for maintaining a secure IT infrastructure through vulnerability management and risk compliance activities in a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Support development, management, and reporting of Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) for IT security vulnerabilities
• Coordinate with technical teams to identify, track, and remediate security vulnerabilities across infrastructure systems
• Assist with security documentation and audit readiness activities to ensure compliance with federal and agency policies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 4-8 years of experience in identifying and resolving IT security vulnerabilities
• Experience in developing and managing POAMs for IT infrastructure systems
• Technical skills in IT vulnerability identification, analysis, and remediation support
• Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust clearance
