Job Summary
Supporting the Department of Homeland Security, the full-time Mid Level Software Application Developer will design, write, and test web-based application components while assisting with database design and API integrations in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, write, and test core features for web-based applications in a secure, cloud-hosted environment (AWS)
- Assist with database design, API integrations, and query optimizations to enhance system functionality
- Diagnose and resolve software bugs while ensuring compliance with federal guidelines and participating in Agile team activities
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background suitability check
