Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Mid-Level Software Engineer focused on backend development, the role will design and implement Python services and data-processing workflows for a modeling and decision-support application, working remotely while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Own software features from initial design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement
- Design and build Python services, APIs, and data-processing systems, while developing modeling logic in collaboration with subject-matter experts
- Build and maintain cloud-native workflows using AWS services and manage data pipelines for effective data integration
Required qualifications
- Approximately 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated ability
- Strong professional experience developing production software in Python
- Experience designing backend services, APIs, and data-processing systems
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with automated testing, source control, and modern software engineering practices
