Job Summary
To support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the full-time remote Mid-Level Test Engineer will develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans for various applications, ensuring quality through manual and automated testing processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop risk-based test strategies, plans, and test cases for new and modified GCIS capabilities
- Maintain bidirectional traceability among requirements, test cases, defects, and release decisions
- Conduct functional, integration, end-to-end, and user-acceptance testing while validating geospatial functions and integrations
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field
- 5+ years of software/system testing or quality-engineering experience, including 3 years with web and data-intensive applications
- Experience with test automation using languages or frameworks such as C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Proficiency in using tools like Jira, Confluence, Git/GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to satisfy DHS suitability and security requirements for the assigned position
