Mid-Level Video Engineer

Job Summary

To support a high-impact engineering team, the full-time Mid-Level Video Engineer will work remotely to build, support, and optimize scalable video streaming solutions using Node.js, while managing data streams and enhancing video processing workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Use Node.js to process and manage data streams in a microservices-based environment
• Implement and troubleshoot video workflows involving HLS, adaptive streaming, FFmpeg, and codecs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve streaming quality, performance, and reliability

Required qualifications

• Strong experience with Node.js in backend, microservices, or data-streaming environments
• Working knowledge of HLS and adaptive streaming, along with video formats and media delivery workflows
• Hands-on experience with FFmpeg, media codecs, and video processing concepts
• Experience working with data streams and event-driven architectures
• Ability to work in distributed systems and scalable environments
