Military Education Counselor

Job Summary

Collaborating with multiple offices, the full-time Military Education Counselor will assist students and their families in obtaining military benefits, manage certification requests, and conduct internal audits while providing academic advising services.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with various offices to facilitate the matriculation process for students utilizing military and veteran benefits
• Process certification requests and document transactions within established timeframes
• Conduct internal audits each semester and assist in resolving VA education benefit payment discrepancies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in PeopleSoft, EAB, Microsoft Office, Teams, and Google Suite
• Prior experience in a college or university setting is preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and telework as needed
