Job Summary

Providing person-centered and culturally competent support, the full-time Military Peer Support Specialist III will manage peer-to-peer relationships, assess service needs through various communication channels, and document interactions while potentially working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain peer relationships to identify emotional and behavioral changes in individuals served
• Conduct thorough telephone screenings using standardized templates to assess service needs
• Document all contact information and service details in accordance with departmental protocols

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least three years of active duty service or relevant military experience
• Demonstrated ability to use a computer for service recording and office functions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
