Minnesota Licensed Behavioral Medical Director

Job Summary

Providing oversight to the Utilization Management Program, the part-time Minnesota Licensed Behavioral Medical Director will perform peer reviews, interact with clinical professionals, and advise on healthcare system improvements while working remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensuring delivery of cost-effective quality care that incorporates recovery, resiliency, and person-centered services
• Overseeing utilization management protocols and Level of Care guidelines in collaboration with clinical staff
• Maintaining clinical integrity through timely peer reviews, appeals, and consultations with providers and community-based clinicians

Required qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy
• Current license to practice as a physician in Minnesota
• Board certified in Psychiatry
• Knowledge of post-acute care planning, including case management and disease management
• Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
