Job Summary
To support clinical documentation integrity, the full-time Minnesota Licensed Clinical Documentation Nurse will conduct concurrent audits of medical records, facilitate physician documentation, and promote accurate patient encounter documentation while working remotely after training.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct concurrent audits of medical record documentation to ensure accuracy in reflecting care provided
- Facilitate appropriate physician documentation to accurately represent patient severity of illness and risk of mortality
- Analyze documentation findings and outcomes for process improvement and provide education to healthcare providers
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Minnesota required
- Minimum of 3 years acute care experience required
- Experience in performance improvement and quality assurance required
- Certification as a Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) preferred
