Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist to join their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts concurrent reviews of medical records to identify documentation improvement opportunities
  • Develops and implements education strategies for physicians to enhance clinical documentation accuracy
  • Analyzes data related to documentation practices and collaborates with clinical teams to improve quality
Required Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of acute/inpatient experience as an RN or 5 years of inpatient coding experience
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation requirements and current coding/DRG classification systems
  • Registered Nurse license in MN or relevant certification (RHIA/RHIT) upon hire
  • Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, pathophysiology, and pharmacology
