Minnesota Licensed Clinical Reviewer

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the part-time PRN Clinical Reviewer - Substance Use (LPCC, LMFT, LICSW) will utilize clinical expertise to review medical records for medical necessity and appropriateness of care, working remotely within the United States and requiring an active Minnesota license or eligibility to obtain one within six months.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret patient records against ASAM criteria to determine medical necessity
• Attend training and meetings while maintaining current knowledge of review processes and clinical practices
• Monitor quality and accuracy of review cases, collaborating with supervisors to identify areas for improvement

Required qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Minnesota license as LPCC, LMFT, or LICSW, or eligibility to obtain within six months
• 3+ years of direct clinical experience as a mental health professional
• 1+ years of experience in Utilization Review (UR) or Utilization Management (UM)
• In-depth understanding of ASAM criteria and its application in clinical settings
• Familiarity with medical records structure and terminology
