Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder 3 to join their team in a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, or HCPCS codes to complex outpatient accounts for billing and compliance
• Utilize coding software to extract information from electronic medical records and ensure timely billing
• Research and resolve coding discrepancies to improve documentation quality and reimbursement levels

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited coding certificate program or Health Information Technician program
• 2 years of coding experience
• Preferred: AS/BS in Health Information
• Preferred: 2 years of coding experience with various professional and hospital accounts
• Preferred: Relevant certifications such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, PCC, CCS-P, or PC-H
