Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder 2 - ED to join their team in a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze clinical documentation and assign appropriate diagnosis, procedure, and service codes
• Utilize electronic coding software to ensure optimal reimbursement and resolve medical necessity edits
• Provide feedback to providers on documentation quality and follow up on unabstracted accounts for timely billing

Required Qualifications

• Certificate program in coding or associate degree in Health Information Management (HIM) with 1-3 years of healthcare experience
• 1 year of coding experience
• Certification in Outpatient or Professional Fee Coding (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC)
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCs coding guidelines
• Experience with electronic medical records and coding software
