Job Summary
Managing the coding staff and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, the full-time Minnesota Licensed Coding Supervisor will perform coding, abstracting, and reporting while providing training and support to maximize reimbursement and maintain quality in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage coding staff activities and ensure compliance with coding regulations and standards
- Train and supervise staff to enhance coding quality and turnaround times
- Act as a resource for hospital departments and respond to various departmental requests to ensure customer service excellence
Required qualifications:
- Associate's degree or 1+ years of medical coding experience
- Current coding credentials from AHIMA or AAPC (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC)
- 3+ years of professional coding experience
- 3+ years of experience with electronic health records and healthcare applications
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
