Job Summary

A company is looking for a Stenographic Court Reporter in a temporary position with various judges throughout the district.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture and preserve a verbatim record of court proceedings
• Prepare transcripts and court orders in accordance with legal rules and policies
• Serve as a confidential assistant to the appointing authority or Judge

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent
• Graduation from a court reporting school approved by the NCRA within the past two years or equivalent certification
• Two years of proficient practice as a professional stenographic reporter, with accuracy demonstration required within one month of hire
• Ability to provide RealTime or willingness to work towards providing RealTime of court proceedings is preferred
• Must obtain RPR designation from the NCRA within two years of hire if not already certified
