Job Summary
To support the Honorable Ryan Bies, the part-time Minnesota Licensed Court Reporter will capture and preserve verbatim court records while working in a hybrid environment, primarily in Dakota County, with responsibilities including preparing transcripts and maintaining accurate records.
Key responsibilities
- Capture and preserve a verbatim record of court proceedings
- Prepare transcripts and court orders in accordance with legal rules and policies
- Maintain accurate and complete files and records while serving as a confidential assistant to the Judge
Required qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Graduation from a court reporting school approved by the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) within the past two years, or equivalent certification
- Two years of proficient practice as a professional stenographic reporter, with a requirement to demonstrate accuracy upon hire
- Ability to provide RealTime reporting or willingness to work towards it is preferred
