Job Summary
To support a global retail organization, the part-time to full-time Minnesota Licensed Customs Attorney will provide strategic legal guidance on U.S. customs and trade regulatory matters, focusing on tariffs, trade remedies, and duty optimization strategies in a fully remote engagement.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on customs and international trade law, including tariffs and duty mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence key business decisions and navigate operational risks
- Manage regulatory inquiries, audits, and investigations while serving as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders
Required qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in customs and international trade law
- Strong knowledge of classification, valuation, and free trade agreements
- Experience advising on antidumping and countervailing duties
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Customs Broker License strongly preferred
