Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Inpatient Hospital Based Coder 4.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and code inpatient clinical records using ICD 10 CM and ICD 10 PCS according to coding guidelines and protocols
• Validate computer-assisted coding output for accuracy and thoroughness
• Collaborate with Clinical Documentation Integrity staff to enhance documentation quality and assist with provider queries

Required Qualifications

• Certificate program in coding or associate degree in Health Information Management (HIM)
• 3+ years of coding experience
• Certification as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CIC
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based computer software
• Commitment to ongoing education and keeping up to date with CEUs
