Job Summary

A company is looking for an Intake Reimbursement Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits, identify coverage issues, and manage the intake and authorization process for pharmacy services
• Resolve issues with payers and provide expertise to other departments regarding reimbursement practices
• Serve as a resource for staff and physicians about pharmacy services and maintain knowledge of payer requirements

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting or with revenue cycle, health insurance, or benefits experience using enterprise software
• Revenue Cycle Certification (HFMA - CRCR) or Pharmacy certification; equivalent experience may substitute for certification
• Bachelor's degree in business, communications, healthcare, or a related field is preferred
• 2 years of experience in revenue cycle or health insurance within a complex healthcare organization is preferred
• Nationally certified pharmacy technician credentials are preferred
