Job Summary
Minnesota Licensed Medical Coder, this full-time position involves coding for facility services, ensuring adherence to coding guidelines and maintaining coding quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign appropriate ICD-10 Codes, CPT, and modifiers for facility services
- Maintain coding knowledge and participate in educational events
- Adhere to ethical coding standards and performance levels established by the organization
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Professional coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC
- 2+ years of experience with ICD-10, CPT, and Emergency Room coding
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and EMR systems
- Ability to maintain a dedicated work area for telecommuting
