Job Summary
To support the coding of Interventional Radiology services, the full-time Minnesota Licensed Medical Coder will identify appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes, review clinical notes for compliance, and collaborate with clinical and revenue cycle teams, all while enjoying the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes for various Interventional Radiology services and acute care encounters
- Review clinical notes to ensure complete charge capture and adherence to coding guidelines
- Collaborate with providers and internal teams to resolve coding queries and documentation issues
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Professional coder certification with credentialing from AHIMA and/or AAPC to be maintained annually
- 2+ years of outpatient facility coding experience
- 2+ years of experience working with ICD-10
- Ability to use a PC in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Excel and EMR systems
