Minnesota Licensed Medication Access Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medication Access Specialist to provide medication access and affordability services to clients and their patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medication authorizations and perform actions based on client and patient needs
• Communicate determinations and relevant follow-up with patients regarding medication coverage and financial assistance options
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in clients' EMR systems and support onboarding and training of medication access specialists

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in healthcare or with pharmacy providers on medication access
• State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration obtained within 6 months of hire
• Preferred: Active CPhT certification through either PTCB or NHA
• Preferred: Experience with electronic medical record documentation and prior authorization workflows
