Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Minnesota Licensed Medication Access Specialist will streamline patient intake processes, navigate insurance requirements, and enhance medication access while acting as a liaison among patients, pharmacists, and providers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the medication intake process, coordinating between clinic providers, staff, pharmacies, and patients
• Conduct benefits investigations to assess patient coverage and identify financial assistance options
• Manage prior authorization submissions and insurance denials, ensuring timely communication with clinics and patients

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of three years of pharmacy experience in healthcare or with pharmacy providers focused on medication access
• State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration obtained within 2 months of start date, if applicable
• Preferred: Active CPhT certification through either PTCB or NHA
• Preferred: Two years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, including medication authorizations and preadmission/precertification processes
