Job Summary
To support a vital role within the managed services team, the fully remote Minnesota Licensed Medication Access Specialist will streamline patient intake processes, navigate insurance requirements, enhance medication access, and reduce the financial burden of high-cost prescriptions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the medication intake process, acting as a liaison among clinic providers, staff, pharmacies, and patients
- Conduct benefits investigations to determine patient coverage and available financial assistance
- Communicate medication options and financial resources to patients while monitoring insurance status
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of pharmacy experience in healthcare or with pharmacy providers focused on medication access
- State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration obtained within 2 months of start date, if applicable
- Proficient in utilizing CoverMyMeds for prior authorization submissions
- Active CPhT certification through either PTCB or NHA is preferred
