Job Summary
To support a growing team, the remote Minnesota Licensed Occupational Therapist will manage utilization management processes, determine medical necessity for treatment, and implement clinical policies while working full-time.
Key responsibilities:
- Make determinations of medical necessity and clinical appropriateness of treatment
- Assist in the implementation of clinical policy, guidelines, and applications
- Regularly contact providers to address treatment trends and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Required qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of residence
- 5+ years of experience in adult outpatient orthopedic environments
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and MS Teams
- Knowledge of practice guidelines and ability to interpret them in the context of Occupational Therapy
- Ability to maintain a dedicated, distraction-free workplace with high-speed internet access
