Minnesota Licensed Options Counselor

Job Summary

Providing options counseling to individuals with disabilities, the full-time Minnesota Licensed Options Counselor will manage inquiries, educate clients on available resources, and advocate for consumers while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide confidential, neutral direct service to Disability Hub MN consumers
• Advocate for Hub consumers by contacting relevant social service agencies as needed
• Conduct person-centered discovery to assess individual needs, strengths, and goals

Required qualifications

• Must reside in Minnesota
• 4-year degree with two years of related experience, or a 2-year degree with four years of related experience
• Knowledge of community resources, benefits, and public assistance programs
• Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
• Ability to facilitate troubleshooting with other system professionals
