Job Summary
Providing options counseling to individuals with disabilities, the full-time Minnesota Licensed Options Counselor will work remotely to answer inquiries, advocate for clients, and educate them on available resources while ensuring compliance with established standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide confidential, neutral direct service to Disability Hub MN consumers
- Advocate for consumers by contacting relevant social service agencies as needed
- Conduct person-centered discovery to assess individual needs and provide effective counseling
Required Qualifications
- Must reside in Minnesota and be lawfully authorized to work in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred
- Knowledge of community resources, benefits, and public assistance programs
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
- Proficient with computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
