Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Inpatient Hospital Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Codes Inpatient Facility medical records to ensure data integrity and proper assignments
• Analyzes medical records and provides feedback to improve documentation quality
• Identifies areas for improvement in compliance risk coding and assists with complex billing issues

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
• Professional coder certification with credentialing from AHIMA (RHIT, RHIA, CCS)
• 3+ years of experience in Acute Care Inpatient medical coding
• 3+ years of experience working with DRG coding and complex procedures
