Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Minnesota Licensed Senior Medical Coder will manage acute inpatient hospital claim edits and denials, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with policies while collaborating with healthcare providers to enhance documentation quality.

Key responsibilities:

• Work on acute inpatient hospital claim edits, denials, and secondary work queues
• Recodes medical records to ensure data integrity and proper coding assignments
• Analyzes medical records and provides feedback to improve documentation quality

Required qualifications:

• Associate's degree
• Coding certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC)
• 2+ years of coding experience
• 2+ years of acute care inpatient medical coding experience
