Minnesota Licensed Staff Accountant

Job Summary

To support a growing Client Accounting and Advisory Services department, the full-time remote Minnesota Licensed Staff Accountant will assist clients with internal accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and financial statement preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily transaction accounting activities, including reconciliations, inventory management, and payroll processing
• Prepare complex sales and use tax returns while ensuring compliance with reporting requirements
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain transactions and identify potential issues regarding their accounts

Required qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of related experience in accounting
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of GAAP and general ledger management, including reconciliations and month-end/year-end close procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate client and team meetings
