Job Summary

A company is looking for a Trauma Registrar.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and maintain Trauma Registry data to support trauma program operations and performance improvement
• Identify, code, and abstract records for eligible trauma patients according to established guidelines
• Ensure data entry accuracy and adhere to HIPAA privacy and security regulations

Required Qualifications and Education

• Associate degree or certification in a healthcare-related field preferred, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in an EMS or healthcare setting
• Post-secondary courses in Human Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology recommended
• Prior experience with computerized information systems and Trauma Registry software preferred
• Must complete specific trauma-related courses within the first year of hire for ACS verified centers
• Must meet minimum requirements set by state trauma center designation standards for non-ACS verified centers
