MIR Specialist

Job Summary

Coordinating with various stakeholders, the full-time remote MIR Specialist will manage the correction and reworking of orders that cannot be billed or have resulted in claim denials, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely submission of documentation to funding sources.

Key responsibilities

• Problem-solve and correct orders that are unable to be billed or have resulted in claim denials
• Verify client benefits and coverage while communicating necessary information to clients
• Gather and review documentation required by payers, including prescriptions and Letters of Medical Necessity

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience related to Durable Medical Equipment and/or Complex Rehab Technology
• Extensive knowledge of insurance guidelines for securing funding for Durable Medical Equipment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret payer guidelines and policies
