Mission Planner & Controller

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Mission Planner & Controller, this remote position will manage and execute flight activities for stratospheric balloon missions, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Mission Controllers to execute stratospheric image capture missions
• Plan and create flight trajectories using internal and external software tools
• Evaluate weather conditions and make go/no-go launch decisions based on optimal flight conditions

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an aviation role such as operations control center, pilot, or dispatcher
• 1+ years of experience interpreting weather forecasts using various tools
• Strong knowledge of US airspace regulations and airspace maps
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to make decisions in stressful situations
