Job Summary
To provide clinical oversight and support, the Mississippi Licensed Collaborating Physician will work remotely on a flexible contract basis, ensuring high-quality patient care through chart reviews, clinical guidance, and compliance with state regulations while collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the designated collaborating physician for advanced practice providers, ensuring compliance with state laws
- Review patient charts and clinical documentation to maintain quality, safety, and adherence to regulations
- Participate in meetings or case reviews with NPs/PAs to discuss clinical performance and opportunities for improvement
Required qualifications
- Current, active license in the state of Mississippi (MD/DO)
- Active practice in the state
- 3+ years of clinical experience post-residency
- Primary specialty in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
- Board Certified in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine preferred
